The orchard known as "Sheen" has a long history going back to 1915 when Edgar Herring began clearing the land for planting.
Sheen is to the east of Batlow township on Yellowin Road. Deep basalt soils and a climate synonymous with the foothills of the Snowy Mountains all contribute to the growing of our famous apples.
We have 40 acres of land and grow approximately 4,000 trees. The varieties we grow are Pink Lady, Royal Gala, Granny Smith, Sundowner and a few Braeburn. We were growing about 18,000 trees at one time, we have now scaled down to primarily service our Farmers Markets in Sydney.
